This Privacy Policy describes how Learn Mountain LLC ("Reading Mountain," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, account portal, mobile applications, learning features, subscriptions, and related services (the "Services"). We are committed to safeguarding user privacy, especially for children.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to provide and improve the Services:

  • Account and learner information: Account-holder name, email address, authentication identifier, account type, learner names, profile settings, and subscription status.
  • Learning activity: Course progress, lesson activity, answers, assessments, study sessions, uploaded work, and generated feedback.
  • Analytics and campaign measurement: Page views, account creation, checkout activity, referral and campaign information, advertising click identifiers, browser identifiers or cookies, device and browser details, IP address, and diagnostic events. We use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel and Conversions API for these purposes.
  • Purchases: We retain subscription status and identifiers needed to validate access. Stripe, Apple, or Google processes the payment; we do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, personalize, secure, and maintain the Services, including progress reports and learning feedback.
  • Authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and communicate about accounts, support, security, and transactions.
  • Understand product performance, attribute advertising campaigns, and measure actions such as page views, registrations, and paid subscriptions.

Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell personal information for money. Some jurisdictions may define analytics or advertising-related disclosures more broadly than a monetary sale. Account and learning data is stored in access-controlled systems, and we use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect it.

Service Providers: We disclose information as needed to providers that support the Services, including Cloudflare and Google Firebase for infrastructure and security; Google, Meta, and OpenAI for analytics and campaign measurement; Stripe, Apple, and Google for purchases; and providers used to complete AI, speech, support, and communication features. Our campaign events do not include learner names, lesson answers, or uploaded learner work. Email and account identifiers sent through server-side advertising measurement are normalized and SHA-256 hashed first.

Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance

The Reading Mountain App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We take extra precautions to protect children's privacy online.

  • Limited Data Collection: Only minimal, non-sensitive data is collected for educational purposes.
  • Limited advertising data: Campaign measurement concerns the adult account holder and account-level actions. We do not send learner names, lesson answers, or uploaded learner work in advertising conversion events.
  • Parental Rights: Parents or guardians may:
    • Request access to any collected information.
    • Request deletion of their child's data.
    • Prevent further data collection.

Security & No Malicious Code

The App is designed exclusively for educational purposes and does not contain malware or harmful code. The website and portal use the analytics and campaign-measurement technologies described above.
